Dakota stands at a full six foot two. He has a lean build, but has a bit more prounounced muscle tone. He has a tanned complection from being outside a lot. But it's not too dark of a tan, just a little touch. This contrasts with his light, musky blonde hair. His hair is short and usually messy and spiked up in the front. He also has dark brown roots. On slow days he tends to let his bangs down, which touch the tip of his nose at the longest point. His eyes are a pale, luminescent blue. Much like the sky in the morning or the ocean. They're framed by dark eyelashes that make them stand out more. He has simple, boyish features. This includes raised cheekbones, a strong jawline, and full lips.
He usually wears graphic t-shirts and jeans, along with a pair of boots or skater shoes. He doesn't like long sleeves, but will wear a light jacket or long sleeved shirt when he absolutely has to. He is also known to wear sleeveless shirts or beaters. He has a laidback style and doesn't care too much about his appearance, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like to stay at least have way decent and clean. He has no piercings, but he does have flames tattooed on his hips that curl around the bone. That's the only foreign marking. Though he has a scar on his right eyebrow from a piercing that he sometimes wears. He also has a silver bar through the center of his tongue. It's hard to tell he grew up on a ranch like he did.

Samantha and Jason met by chance. He was working on his ranch when one of his beloved mares fell ill. He called the local veterinary clinic and Samantha was called out. She was at the ranch for an hour, examing the horse and eventually was able to cure her. The mare was good as new within a couple more hours. During her time there, she talked to Jason and they got to know each other. Each slowly falling for each other. Jason asked her out that very day and after a couple weeks, they began dating. After dating for four months, Jason decided it was time to pop the question. She was hesitant at first, but agreed. They were married in the following summer. A couple months later, their first child was born. Dakota was the first of their children. He was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia along with his younger brother by two months, Declan.
Dakota was born with a malfunctioning artery in his heart, it was one of the main arteries that worked his heart and clung to life as he went into surgery for an artificial artery. He was kept in the hospital for a few weeks to recover. He made a full recovery and was just as active as any other infant. He grew up strong and athletic. He attended elementray school in Australia, but was forced to move to America when he was ten. He found it hard to adjust, but found comfort in working for his father. His father didn't own the ranch in Australia, he only worked for Dakota's grandfather. His father bought a ranch in Minnesota where he spent the better part of his teen years, working hard. The ranch was centered around training and rehabilitating horses. It was basically a rescue center for abandoned and abused horses of all breeds. Dakota attended normal schools, but found himself less of the boy he was in Australia. He was still athletic and social, but he held a certain awkwardness and naivity since American ways were slightly unusual to him. He made friends, though not many and had a good reputation.
Dakota bonded with all the horses on his father's ranch, yet he bonded more with a small family of horses his father found at an abandoned stable. His father brought home a Trakehner mare with two twin colts. His father cared for the mare, while Dakota cared for the twins. He trained them and nursed them to health like his father did for the mare. When Dakota graduated high school, he moved away to expand on his work with horses. His brother took over for him at their father's ranch. Since Dakota moved away, Declan was the only one left to take on ownership of the ranch when their father finally retired. He found work at an Academy in Lexington. He brought the twins along with him since he wanted to keep them close by and work with them in shows when they're older. He's been in Lexington for three years now.
